Fat Burning Veggies on the Military Diet

Your mom wasn’t lying when she said it’s important to eat your broccoli and cauliflower, even if she didn’t know how important. We’re going to tell you why… Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, kale and bok choy can all be eaten on the Military Diet and these veggies HELP BURN FAT.

But why do cruciferous vegetables help burn fat?

Harmful chemicals called xenoestrogens force your body to hold onto belly fat. Xenoestrogens are in our food supply and environment, coming from pesticides, water pollution, household cleaners and even cosmetics. Exposure to xenoestrogens disrupts the hormone balance in your body, causing you to hold onto excess belly fat.

The good news is that all cruciferous vegetables contain the phytonutrients that work against the estrogenic chemicals we encounter every day and store in our body. So do yourself and your belly a favor by eating more cruciferous vegetables on the Military Diet.

Here’s a list of cruciferous vegetables, all suitable for the Military Diet:

Broccoli

Brussels sprouts

Cabbage

Cauliflower
